Taste Tibet Update 2

Taste Tibet tent

The Taste Tibet summer festival tent is getting an airing!

We are not expecting any festival action this year, but here is an interim solution to the current corona crisis: we will be setting up shop this Friday and Saturday evening in the Silvie forecourt for TAKEAWAYS ONLY.

Find us in our Tibetan tent out front for the full range of goodness you have come to expect from the Taste Tibet/Silvie collab. Only everyone a little less cosy please: we request that you each keep at least one metre apart from one another and from your dedicated serving hand (hello, the lovely Amanda).

Another solution is to email us your order through in advance of pick-up, stating your preferred collection time. We will confirm all orders before the night and you can jump straight to the front of the queue to collect. Our menu will land on Friday morning and we will be accepting pre-orders up until 5pm.

We have a risk assessment in place for non-food borne viruses (please ask us if you would like to see this), and request that you make payment by CARD ONLY for the time being please.

It goes without saying that we will continue to make every effort to keep our stall clean and free of contaminants: we work hard to keep our 5-star hygiene rating.

Last, but definitely not least, a shout out to our fabulous NHS workers – there are many of you here in our hood. We want to keep you as well fed as possible right now, so flash us your NHS badge to get 15% off your bill!

And a side note: many of you responded very enthusiastically to our suggestion of home deliveries (thank you very much – exciting!). We are definitely looking into this as a way forwards, and will let you know our plans as they develop.

For now, please make sure to tell everyone you know that Taste Tibet is coming to Silvie on both Friday and Saturday nights this week, 5.30pm-9pm for all the Himalayan soul food that you need right now (and you need this, folks).

Stay well!
