People of Oxford! Taste Tibet will be serving up our mouthwatering Himalayan curries and legendary momo dumplings this weekend (Nov 17-19) at the Oxford Christmas Lights Festival.
The annual festive celebration is a highlight of Oxford’s cultural calendar. It takes place over three days and includes light and sound installations, a festive market, music, dance and loads of free activities across the city.
Come and eat with us! On Friday 17th November we will be at Festive on the Green in Oxford’s Gloucester Green (drop by in the evening for a boogie by the Festival Stage), and also in historic Broad Street (if choirs are more your thing). Lunch or dinner in both locations!
The festivities continue into the evening on Saturday as well, so if you are looking for late night momos, don’t miss your chance on these days.
Sunday we are in Broad Street daytime only. Swing by for a host of acts on the Broad Street Stage, and also Memoryphone, the oversized gramophone-like horns telling stories from people who have travelled all across the world to settle here in Oxford. Hang on a minute…
This weekend is your last chance to catch Taste Tibet in festival action in 2017. Our regular market stall in Oxford’s Gloucester Green (currently Wednesdays only) runs rain or shine all year through, but our beautiful Tibetan tent (seen below at this year’s Thame Food Festival) will be going into hibernation over winter so come and feast your eyes and bellies while you can!
