By now you all know how much we love a challenge.
In Lockdown 1 we pivoted our business from market stall to deliveries. In Lockdown 2 we opened a new takeaway inside our first ever fixed premises. In Lockdown 3, we have two offerings for you:
1. A delivery of CHILLED FOOD, to your home on Thursday afternoon (order through our website by Wednesday 5pm)
This is the one to go for if you:
a) cannot leave the house or are uncomfortable with doing so
b) are looking for simple solutions to feed your family well through the week
Offering 1 is an especially good option if you are in the market for large quantities of freshly-cooked food to perk up your fridge (everything keeps safely for three days) or your freezer (all our food can be frozen on the day of delivery for up to three months).
Our delivery service includes family-sized boxes of all our regular dishes. This works out a bit cheaper than buying individual portions, and is of course the gift that keeps on giving. Reheating instructions – including video! – are on our website. Order now (and please consider adding a small donation to our free food for the community initiative at the same time – thank you)
2. HOT TAKEAWAY with a pre-order facility from our new place at 109 Magdalen Road in East Oxford – on Friday and Saturday evening, 5-8.30pm
This one is for you if you are looking for a legally acceptable excuse to leave the house, and you’re hankering for hot food NOW (for this week’s menu, sneak a peek at our online shop). Our counter will be stacked with all the good stuff for:
– Walk-ins – just turn up when the momo need strikes between 5 and 8.30pm. There is no need to call in advance, or
– Pre-orders – if you would like to place your order ahead of collection, please call us on 01865499318 between 4 and 8pm on Friday or Saturday, and we will do our best to fit you in at the time that suits you.
Payment will be taken at the point of collection – card only please.
Just to make it doubly clear: delivery orders should be placed through our website and payment goes through the online shop. Payment for hot takeaway pre-orders or walk-ins will be taken by card in our shop.
Finally, it’s important to say at this point that this is just our punt for week 1 of Lockdown 3, and we would love to hear what you think about how this feels as well as how it all goes. We are fully prepared to make changes again for week 2, so please keep in touch and tell us whether you think we’re getting it right or not.
