BYO For 50p Off!

Last week's vegan curry in a bring your own

Regular customers will be well aware that it serves well to bring your own Tupperware to our stall. We are happy to fill boxes that are more roomy than the ones we provide (which are compostable, by the way: if you take these home don’t forget that they can go straight in the food bin). Last week someone who works close enough to Gloucester Green brought over a china bowl. Our food looked great, so we took a picture.

Then, after talking with a friend and regular of our Silvie pop up (now dormant – watch this space for news), we decided to take things further and roll out a new scheme that rewards the nature-lovers among you even more.

Starting this Wednesday, May 9th, we are offering everyone who brings their own lunch box or reusable cup to our Gloucester Green stall 50p off their bill.

Have you seen what the bins look like in Gloucester Green at the end of a market day? Who knows where all that Styrofoam ends up. Taste Tibet has always used food and drink receptacles that are environmentally-friendly: even our cup lids are compostable. But if you bring your own Tupperware, all the better!

Sustainability has always been a primary concern for us, and a core value. We believe that reducing energy consumption, improving efficiency, and minimising our environmental impact are all critical, both in serving the environment and ensuring our own future as a business. We aim to reduce and ultimately omit the use of all non-biodegradable products in our production kitchen at at our stall.

Small changes can make a big impact, and we want to encourage all of our customers to join us in our pledge to make a difference.

So… Bring your own clean lunch box or cup/flask to our stall, and we will deduct 50p from your bill. It’s our way of saying thank you for helping us to achieve our goals, and we hope that in the process we can also encourage more people to be mindful, change habits, and reduce waste.

Please let our staff know that you would like to use your own cup or lunch box when you order.

Find out more about our commitment to sustainability here, or ask us if you would like to see a copy of our environmental policy.

Thank you, and see you at the stall!
