Business As Usual

We fail to bring you anything fun and interesting this week – the truth is that we’re dealing with some difficult stuff behind the scenes. We’ve been trying to get back to see relatives in Tibet for many months now, and while we wait for visas to come through, one member of the family has become very ill. We’re still hoping that we can make it out there, and we’re ready to go at any moment, but everything feels a bit bleak right now.

Leaving this picture of happier times for our own pleasure as much as yours. Our friend Keiko took it back in 2016. Keiko also took the beautiful photos of our family that feature in the Taste Tibet cookbook – she went and stayed in Yeshi’s home and enjoyed all the meals and time together that we’re craving right now. We’re so grateful to Keiko for capturing precious memories of our people in their element, and in good health.

Life goes on. We’re open through the Easter weekend as usual, so come and dine with us if you have friends to stay, or pop in for takeaway if you’d like us to cater for your party. Deliveroo also delivers door to door, and don’t forget that our freezer food is also available for home delivery if budget is tight this holiday.

We’re open all the usual hours this week, as follows:

Wednesday – Friday: 5-9.30pm (dinner only)
Saturday and Sunday: 12-3 (lunch) / 5-9.30pm (dinner)

Our menu is on the website now – check it!

Finally, thanks to everyone who reviewed the Taste Tibet cookbook last week – we’re so grateful to those of you who have given five stars to our baby. Amazon currently has the book at half price, which doesn’t happen often, so be quick if you’re in the market for another copy (we hear they make great Easter gifts).

Looking forward to seeing everyone soon,

Julie and Yeshi
