Silvie Summer Celebration

It’s summer! Taste Tibet will be celebrating with two pop ups at Silvie this Thursday and Friday evening. Please join us!

Our beautiful tent will be out on the Silvie forecourt between 5 and 8.30pm both nights for delicious bar snacks. Eat on site at one of Silvie’s many outdoor tables, or take home.

Momos will be on the pan, and – drumroll please – we will be debuting Yeshi’s incredible cold sesame noodles, which are the perfect accompaniment to Silvie’s amazing selection of draft beer. Lots of your Tap Social favourites will be available for take out – do not miss these!

Our new dish is made with either wheat or glass (thread) noodles – you choose. Either way it’s entirely plant-based. Do request lashings of our legendary hot chilli if you want the full just-as-in-Tibet experience.

Cold noodles, or laphing in Tibetan, are a supremely popular summertime snack in Tibet. We briefed you on this dish in its most authentic form a couple of summers ago. Now – finally – please come and watch Chef in action!

The Thursday and Friday Silvie summer celebration does mean that Taste Tibet will not be doing the deliveries rounds on Thursday or Friday this week, but we will be delivering as normal on Saturday 4th July, so do get your pre-orders in for a Saturday night at home. Including cold noodles! We couldn’t leave these out…

Finally, many thanks to those of you who got back to us with your ideas about where to channel your remaining donations to our Feeding the Frontline initiative. We received some really great leads and will be following up and feeding back.

Our online shop is now open! Take a look if you’re after home delivery on Saturday this week, or make a diary note for Silvie on Thursday or Friday. We are not taking pre-orders for our pop up, but you can expect the swift service that you are used to from our tent set-up.
